“We want to send the fans home with a big smile on their faces”

Assistant manager Danny Webb spoke with the media ahead of Saturday’s final game of the season, against Maidenhead United.

He began by previewing the fixture: “It’s a game we really want to win.

“The season isn’t over until that final whistle tomorrow; we want to win our final game and send the supporters off happy.

“It’s been an incredible season for sure, but we want to finish strong.

“No doubt the results over recent games haven’t been what we wanted but tomorrow we have a chance to end the season on a high.

“We’ve achieved our objective, we’re back in the Football League.

“Let’s have a real carnival atmosphere and we’ll be looking to put on a show in-front of our fantastic supporters.”

He also touched on the supporters and their fantastic support.

“They’ve been brilliant all season,” he said.

“We want to reward them with three points and a win tomorrow to send everyone into their summer with a big smile on their faces.

“All season, the fans have been brilliant.

“The fans have helped the lads all the way.

“I honestly don’t think we can thank them enough; we wouldn’t be where we are without them it’s as simple as that.

“All the boys want to finish the season tomorrow well in front of a big crowd.

“We’re buzzing for the game and we really want to finish off in style.”
