Webb anticipates ‘tough test’ at Wealdstone

Assistant-manager Danny Webb looked ahead to Tuesday night’s game at Wealdstone and gave an update on the injury situation.

Speaking to the media, he said: “We’re looking forward to a different type of game tomorrow.

“Our style of play doesn’t change, no matter who we play against, we will play our way.

“It doesn’t matter who, where or when we are playing, we will stick to our shape and style. That’s just how we work. It’s our way and that won’t be any different tomorrow.

“It should be a great game but it will be a tough test and we’ve really got to be at it from the start if we want to get a result.”

Webb also touched on Bailey Clements and Tom Whelan, who have recently been sprung into first-team action, saying: “I think Tom and Bailey have done fantastic since coming in.

“The attitude they’ve shown is top class. They both performed well and they deserved their chance.

“We’re very impressed with them both and I know the gaffer is too. They’ve worked so hard off the pitch. I’m personally glad to see them on the pitch.”

Webb also provided an update on injured players. “Maguire is back available for selection now,” he said. “Asante is a few weeks away with an injury in his hamstring that has been bothering him for a while. The rest are slightly longer-term.”
