On Andy Woodman
Andy Woodman played over 400 games as a goalkeeper with long spells at Northampton Town, Brentford and Oxford United. He turned to coaching after retirement and bagged his first managerial spell at Whitehawk in 2017. Despite a difficult spell with the Hawks, Woodman became manager of Bromley in 2021 and has established himself as one of the best managers in the National League.
One to watch
Everyone in the National League knows how dangerous Michael Cheek is in front of goal. Spells at Braintree Town, Dagenham & Redbridge, Ebbsfleet United and now Bromley have meant that the striker is the highest scorer in National League history. Last season, despite a slow start, Cheek bagged 17 goals as Bromley reached the play-off semi-finals.

Goalkeeper Grant Smith joined the Spireites in January 2021 after leaving Wealdstone the previous October. The shot-stopper only spent six months in north Derbyshire but quickly established himself as a fans’ favourite.
After a spell at Yeovil Town, Smith joined Bromley this summer. He has played 12 games for the Ravens so far this campaign, keeping four clean sheets.
View from the dugout
Danny Webb said: “They’ve built a real defensive structure and they’ve got a real tactical style they play.
“Both teams want to get out of the league. They will want to avenge the play-off defeat. They’ve got some good players and play some good football.”
